6 Way Fibre Optic Harsh Environment Connector

Pre-Terminated Multimode Umbilicals
Ship to Ship (STS) - 25m
Ship to Shore (SSL) - 50m

The Offshore Optics 6 Way Ship to Shore Link (SSL) and Ship and Ship (STS) connectors are a harsh environment 6 fibre multimode connector. It was initially designed to interface with ESD and communications systems installed on FSRU, FSU & LNG terminals worldwide. It is fully compatible with all Furukawa and industry standard LNG carrier / terminal ESD communications fibre optic connectors.

The connector consists of a 316-grade stainless steel body and blind cap, accompanied by a hard rubber bump cap to prevent impact damage. Using our Harsh Environment multimode fibre optic cable, these umbilical's can withstand the harshest of environments.

Our 6 way fibre optic connectors are used on: FSRU, FSU & LNG Terminals, in accordance with SIGTTO guidelines. Our 6 way fibre optic connectors are also suitable for:

  • Petrochemical Sites
  • Pipeline Projects
  • Offshore vessels
  • Other harsh environment / offshore applications

With precision at the forefront of our design and manufacturing, we ensure the highest of quality for the harshest of environments.

Covered with multiple layers of chemical and fire resistant shrink down to prevent ingress and increase rigidity. All umbilical's include a 316 basket weave cable stocking to aid in heaving to deck. Lengths as standard are 25m-50m, however bespoke lengths can be supplied. We also offer installation by our highly experienced team of engineers.
